Marie-Claude Nichols is excluded from the PLQ shadow cabinet
For refusing the responsibilities that Dominique Anglade wanted to give her, the MNA for Vaudreuil, Marie-Claude Nichols, has been excluded from the Quebec Liberal Party's shadow cabinet.
Elected in 2014, Marie-Claude Nichols aspired, for this third mandate, to the role of third vice-president of the National Assembly. However, her colleague in the riding of Viau, Frantz Benjamin, was selected for the role.
Although other responsibilities were presented to the MNA, she refused them all.
Contacted at the riding office, Marie-Claude Nichols' team said that the MNA would not make any comment on the subject.
Since entering Parliament, Ms. Nichols has been Deputy Government Whip, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Sustainable Development, the Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change, Official Opposition Critic for Housing and Municipal Affairs.
