Drivers will have to be patient this weekend as with the local road network is likely to be busy due to major obstructions on Highway 40 East in the West Island.

Starting at 8 a.m. this Saturday, there will be a complete closure of the 40 East between exit 44 (Morgan Boulevard) and the next entrance. The detour will be done via the service road.

From Saturday 11 PM to Monday 5 AM, there will be a partial closure of 2 out of 3 lanes, still on the A-40 East, between exit 44 and the next entrance.

Of course, many will be tempted to access the island of Montreal via highway 20, but recent weekends have shown that this option can be just as chaotic.
