Published in 1555, in a work entitled Les Prophéties, Nostradamus' predictions continue to fascinate, and many researchers turn to them on an almost regular basis to explain certain events or to see what might happen.

He is credited with the WWII, the rise of the Nazis with the advent of Hitler and the French Revolution. According to experts, almost 70% of his predictions have come true over the years. Others, such as the end of the world at the turn of the new century, have clearly not come true.

For 2023, the famous French astrologer and apothecary predicted ecological and economic disasters, social imbalance and war, among other things. 

But what might 2024 look like according to Nostradamus? Well, according to his writings, extreme climatic changes leading to worldwide famine could occur. "The dry land will become more and more parched, and there will be great floods when we see it," we read in the book.

Nostradamus is also said to have predicted "a naval battle" and a "red adversary will turn pale with fear, plunging the ocean into dread". Some see in this prophecy a war involving China.

According to the astrologer's writings, a new pope would accede to the Holy See and the UK could have a new king.
