Make a gesture for the planet this weekend

As part of Earth Day, several municipalities in Vaudreuil-Soulanges will be holding activities this Saturday. From educational workshops and clean-up operations to conferences, there will be plenty of opportunities to do something for the planet.

Here's a non-exhaustive list of the activities scheduled for this Saturday.

Hudson:

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Hudson Town Hall, citizens will be able to meet with the Town's Environment Committee, as well as have the opportunity to speak with an environmental specialist. The Town will also take the opportunity to launch its first Hudson-Éco brochure.

Citizens will be able to sign up for the Grand Ménage organized by the Hudson Earth Keepers group.

Coteau-du-Lac, Les Cèdres and Les Coteaux:

The three riverside municipalities invite the public to take part in a special day to clean up the banks of the Soulanges Canal Park.

Three gathering points are planned, one in each of the participating municipalities:

Les Cèdres:

- 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

- Meeting point: Piste cyclable Soulanges - Entrée Saint-Féréol

Coteau-du-Lac:

- 9am to 12pm

- Meeting point: 20 Rue Principale, Coteau-du-Lac

Les Coteaux:

- 10am to 11:30am

- Parc Emblème, 21 Rue Principale, Les Coteaux

Note that the event is postponed in case of rain.

Vaudreuil-Dorion:

On April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, citizens are invited to take part in a clean-up operation, in partnership with the Blue Organization, at Dorion-Gardens park and adjacent woodland.

To take part, simply complete the form available on the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion website. All necessary equipment (gloves, garbage bags and tongs) will be provided on site at the event. However, we recommend that children bring a pair of gloves adapted to their size.Participants are invited to bring their own water bottle.

Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot:

The Ville de Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot will be holding several workshops, conferences and activities throughout the day. All will take place at Carrefour Notre-Dame.

Activities on the program:

9 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Bicycle safety training

Families and cycling enthusiasts alike won't want to miss this special training session on bicycle safety. Come one, come all for an educational and entertaining experience, suitable for all levels.

9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Electric bike test ride

Carrefour Notre-Dame parking lot

Participants are invited to discover the power and fun of electric bikes during an exclusive trial session.

10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Conference on the circular economy and our purchasing habits

Are you aware of the impacts of purchasing sports equipment and accessories? We'll use the example of a bicycle's life cycle to discuss the issues, challenges and possible solutions.

11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: Yoga class

Join Idolem Yoga Chaud for a dynamic yoga session.Bring your yoga mats. For those who don't have one, a few mats will be available on site.
