Vaudreuil-Dorion winter parking line goes into service
The Town of Vaudreuil-Dorion's winter parking line will go into operation at 5pm on November 14. Residents have two options for finding out whether overnight parking is permitted or prohibited.
The first is to call 450 455-3372 from 5pm. Each day, the message on this information line is updated to indicate whether parking is permitted or prohibited as of midnight on the same day.
The decision to permit or prohibit parking will depend on weather conditions, as well as on ongoing snow removal operations.
The second is to register with the citizen portal (vaudreuil-dorion.bciti.com) to receive notices (e-mail, text message or mobile notification) of on-street parking bans.
In the event that a vehicle does not respect the parking ban and interferes with snow removal operations, it will be towed to one of the following locations and an $85 fee will apply:
on the same street, to a location where it will not interfere with snow-clearing operations;
on the nearest street;
in the Centre multisports André-Chagnon parking lot;
at the snow disposal site (rue du Voiturier) accessible via rang Saint-Antoine.
Citizens can call 311 at any time to find out where their vehicle has been towed.
It is forbidden to abandon or leave unoccupied a motor vehicle on a public road or in a municipal parking lot for an uninterrupted period of more than 72 hours (from April 2 to November 14) or more than 48 hours (from November 15 to April 1).
