The Conseil des arts et de la culture de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CACVS) is proud to announce the six projects selected for the 2024 edition of its Programme d'innovation culturelle et numérique.

Here is the list of selected projects:

Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges - Documentary capsule entitled Histoires agricoles de Vaudreuil-Soulanges ($10,500)

15-minute documentary capsule on the agricultural history of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Project in partnership with : CSUR la Télé, the Syndicat de l'UPA de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, and a citizen's committee of farmers. 

Fondation de la Cité-des-Jeunes - Mosaiculture à l'école ($10,500)

Project carried out by students in the Arts-études group, profil arts plastiques at Cité-des-Jeunes. In collaboration with the expertise of Atelier Paysan, Champs de rêve and artist Monica Brinkman, students will participate in every stage of the project over the next school year, from ideation to creation, leading up to installation in spring 2025. The project plans to involve students from the Employment-Oriented Training Program living with an ASD or disability to help maintain the mosaiculture.

​Ville de Saint-Lazare - Médiation culturelle : préservation du patrimoine équestre de Saint-Lazare (10 500$)

Ville de Saint-Lazare wishes to create a work of art in the Parc Nature les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare in collaboration with the Club Équestre Les Forestiers and local residents. The theme of the work will focus on an ancient arch that once marked the entrance to the equestrian trails. The work will also incorporate recycled materials. A gathering place for riders for many years, the arch was an identifying symbol of the region's rich equestrian heritage. The work will offer a reminder of the arch and a tribute to this significant site for the equestrian community.

​Municipalité de Rivière-Beaudette - Écosphère en couleurs : une murale vivante de notre écosystème local (10 500$)

The municipality wishes to redevelop the old school into a multi-purpose center, offering a variety of workshops and activities, and renovating the outdoor spaces to make it an intergenerational gathering place. As part of this initiative, Rivière-Beaudette wishes to create an emblematic work of art to be exhibited in the heart of the municipality, and to this end will be collaborating with artist Claude Thivierge. The artist will solicit the participation of families present at the Rivière-Beaudette family policy consultation, children at the day camp and seniors who use the site. 

​Municipalité de Pointe-des-Cascades - Le monde magique et merveilleux des livres, à la bibliothèque Adrienne Demontigny-Clément (10 223$) 
 
Project for a permanent floral sculpture, created during cultural mediation workshops with residents and unveiled to mark the opening of the new Adrienne Demontigny-Clément library.

Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (OSJVS) - Collaboration of the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Vaudreuil-Soulanges with various musical ensembles to present concerts in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region ($7777)

In addition to continuing its recruitment campaign for young musicians, the Orchestre Symphonique des Jeunes de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (OSJVS) is offering an even more enriching and varied musical season for the orchestra's young musicians and audiences alike, by teaming up with various local musical ensembles. The OSJVS is collaborating with the Philomela choir, the Harmonie de Lachine, the Association des orchestres de jeunes de la Montérégie and the Galileo orchestra to present concerts in Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
