The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable would like to inform the public that the mitigation measures for the major obstructions to the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge have been improved, with the forthcoming addition of over 300 temporary parking spaces near the bus terminus and Vaudreuil station.

As the current parking lot is regularly at maximum capacity, the addition of temporary spaces will give even more people access to the enhanced services of the line 11 Vaudreuil/Hudson train and the La Presqu'Île d'exo bus service. These services are currently provided free of charge by the Quebec government, due to the major obstructions required at the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.

Financed by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable, and the fruit of collaboration with the ARTM and the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion, work will begin in the next few days on two lots near the Vaudreuil station. Signage will be added to indicate the location of these parking lots, which will be available for at least the rest of the year.

Free public transit

Free public transit passes have been offered to users since December 2023, due to the major obstructions at the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge. Users traveling from Hudson, Vaudreuil, Dorion, Pincourt and Île-Perrot stations receive a free two-pass “Tous modes ABC” ticket for train travel.

These tickets also allow the necessary connections via the bus and metro networks and the REM. These tickets are distributed seven days a week, depending on the departure time of the line 11 Vaudreuil/Hudson train bound for Montreal.

Validating the free ticket is essential to avoid being ticketed. Passengers must validate the first passage when they receive the ticket at the train station on the outward journey, and then do the same with the second passage on the return journey. Boarding of all buses on the exo lines in the La Presqu'Île sector also remains free of charge until further notice.
