This Saturday, April 27, Ville de Saint-Lazare residents will be invited to donate items they no longer need to the next in line for the Community Treasure Hunt. It's time to go through their closets and explore every nook and cranny of their basements, sheds and garages.

Afterwards, they can place their unwanted items in good condition at the curb, so that other residents and/or recyclers can pick them up free of charge and give them a second life.  Items can be placed at the curb at 8 a.m. on D-Day, to be collected at 8 p.m. the same day if no takers are found.

Through this activity, the city aims to recycle items that are in good condition, give them to the next generation and enable citizens to reduce their ecological footprint. A second Community Treasure Hunt will be held in October, usually on the penultimate Saturday in October, after the garage sales.

You don't have to register to take part. Registration does, however, put you on the list of participating addresses and gives you greater visibility. Registration closes at noon on Thursday, April 25. The list of participants will be published on Friday April 26 at noon. To register: https://citoyen.ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca/demandes-en-ligne/chasse-aux-tresors-communautaire.
